On my second run with shiny new limbus shell: "oh btw, we're gonna be a whole hnm shell now, not just limbus but you can still come to limbus if you want I guess"

On my fifth run with shiny new limbus shell: "oh let's not bother doing temenos/ultima, no one wants anything from those anyways. Omega omega omega everyone can equip homam!"

On the bright side, I did pick up a freelot body AF2 for a 75 job I hate playing last week....!

BLM Pet Soloing: 2 HOURS LATER

I needed 5 Raise IIIs! And I switched camps from Goblin Spiders to Tonberry Elementals.

It's been a long time since I played BLM but because I am a packrat I had a complete set of gear on Elegy still. Also I was really bad at it and died a lot!

But I got better. Hopefully I'm reaching the peak on the learning curve and not a momentary plateau.

Went 1/2 on Moldy Earring this morning, which sadly is probably the best luck I've ever had in this game.

Decided to get BLM to 60 for Retrace (which is 55 but hell if I'm gonna slog all of that and not get AF out of it) but finding myself at a complete loss- the last time I leveled BLM was probably 6 months after NA launch, I don't even think they're supposed to join parties anymore >_> Gotta do a mule clean-up and see what I can slam together. 37 >> 55/60 might not be so bad with xp ring+npc and FoV right? right? D;

SCH sub is lounging at 20 because that's when I supposedly should be soloing goblin pets and I find the concept scary :( Why can't we all just join shitty Qufim parties anymore?

My favorite part of BRD is that people will quibble over me idling in Biast hat (+2% Haste -5 enm vs. +30HP/MP +5% Haste), but not notice that, due to a misspelling in my macro, I've been casting all songs in Haidate for an entire Dynamis.

I almost got into a fight with a friend IRL over the fact that I don't have W. Turban for BRD/WHM (at the moment, I'm only doing Dynamis on it)... yeah, ok, I'm really missing out on 3% Haste for cure III recast and +30HP/MP that I never fill because I swap in AF2 hat for songs (not that I think -5 enmity on Cure III is doing me much good, but at least it gets used!). He's like, "well every brd I merit with has one," and I'm like, "Cause every brd you merit with is BRD/NIN and can make use of it!" He just keeps mailing me a stack of bronze coins. You know, if I was JP people would see this hat as a cute quirk! I get the feeling I should consider myself gimp these days, since I never got any assualt or salvage or ein or sea or znm or limbus gear to speak of. I really try to care, but the most I can muster up is a half-hearted "meh". I did the hardcore thing for so long, and now that I'm back and just doing the events I find fun, I feel like I've put in my time.

On the un-gimp side of things I threw down 150k of my very meager savings and finally turned in my AF1+ items. After the Haidate Dynamis I realized people wouldn't notice if I didn't wear pants until the conquest tally, so there was no reason to wait until Saturday night and possibly forget again. Now I need a limbus shell for SMN af1 items... or BLM leveled to 75. Both of these seem like a similar effort outlay, tbh! "BRD seeks Limbus Linkshell with late PST start for special encounters, non-drinker/non-smoker, idles in cool robot hat."

I ground out enough fellow points to buy the 4-slot fashion lock, so now it's only a matter of leveling in Ro'Maeve FoV and using my extra points to glamourize when I can, and soon Seig will be the prettiest pink NPC you ever did see! His legs are in Zodiac subligar so he's only 2 levels away there, body is lagging back on RSE1 D; He also hit 59 pretty early in my last call, so 60-cap quest should be up soon. I feel like I get so much accomplished leveling NPC and doing FoV at the same time XD Now if only I could find someone who wants to buy 10 illuminink per day, I'd be all set.

Now, with ACP there are many ways to get keys for augmented items. I am FAR too lazy to seek a party for either of the BCs, so instead I gather the Fey'in lights since that takes about 20 minutes on WHM. And so far, I've not been let down!

Again, my favorite kind of gear is that which isn't awesome, but replaces things I would otherwise have to pay for :D

The chest in Tenshodo HQ was good to me! Not great, but not "grats on finishing ACP here is an elm log" either.

Certainly not going to sniff at that! I am broke so my favorite kind of gear is the kind that is "decent" and "doesn't cost anything" Went with ho-hum yawn pet: matt/macc and pet: att/ratt on the body, just like 50% of the other summoners playing the game.

And then a completely useless bonus from my lvl. 75 key!
